I am so excited for the party tomorrow! We are hosting a Kid's Valentine's Day Party! It's is a primarily Nestie party, but I also invited some other gals I know. Gracyn's cards and card holder are all ready to go. I am going to finish cleaning tonight and make food and decorate tomorrow.
I'll post pictures afterwards!

The 411
I am a mother, a wife, a teacher, a daughter, a friend, a confidante...you name it. During the day, I am a high school English teacher at an inner-city high school. At night, I am a mommy to Gracyn, wife to Dave, step-mom to Nate, etc. To be able to retain some of being a woman, and not just a mom or a teacher, I am also a lia sophia Advisor.
Gracyn was diagnosed with a congenital birth defect at 28w and then with Symbrachydactyly in August of 2008. She is willful, driven, stubborn and hell bent on not letting her disability impact her life negatively...gee, I wonder where she gets those qualities?

Gracyn
my one and only child. a combination of the two of us. she has so much to overcome and doesn't even know it. she amazes me daily. her spirit and her will make her a match for any opponent she meets. i love her for all that she is and for all that she has yet to become.
Symbrachydactyly
