A Simple Life

I wake up well rested and ready for my day.


I get dressed in my super stylish clothes and ponder my next move...


I decide to lounge in my chaise a bit.


I put on my Nikes and get some exercise in my execersaucer.


Then I eat my lunch (dinner is at 6:30 PM)


After my lunch, I check my email (yes, I have one!)


Then I take a break from my busy schedule to chew on this rubber lizard. Tastes like chicken.


After dinner, I get a bath. A day like mine really gets you dirty.

After my bath, I play in my pajamas, get a bot' and Mommy reads me "Pajama Time"

This has been a busy day. I think that Glow Horse and I will hit the hay.

My daughter is rotten, G-d love 'er!

Then what...?

Lost. That is what I am. Since our levy continues to fail, we have to layoff 30 teachers and 10 classified staff. 30!? Where in the hell are we going to get 30 people to layoff without our kids' education lacking tremendously? I am one up from the bottom in my certification area. I don't want to get laid off...I hate that feeling. While I am used to it, I love my kids and want to leave on my terms dammit. I'll find out in early to mid March if I am impacted. It pisses me off...but I digress.

I had to develop a game plan, an action plan of sorts. Here is what I have option wise:
a. wait to be recalled (not likely if it does come to me)
b. apply other places to teach English and/or be an Assistant Principal
c. go back to CPS (which I don't hate because it would help me get my foot in for an AP job faster...maybe)
d. go back to the private sector in training or sales
e. go back to school for nursing (which I am always toying with anyway)
f. sub (ug...I loathe that option; e might be combined with f.)

I am so blessed and I am a firm believer that EVERYTHING happens for a reason. But in the interim, I pray that things work out for us.

I am 6 months old! UPDATED

Gracyn turned six months old on Wednesday, January 14th 2009. She celebrated by having her favorite, Gerber Macaroni and Cheese. She got a book, The Great Mouse Cookie, which was read to her before she went to bed.

Her six month doctors appointment is Monday, MLK Day. I'll post her stats later.

She is eating Stage 2 foods, learning to use a sippy cup, drinking water and juice at meals. She is able to roll over both ways and continuously roll. She is working on crawling; she gets her butt up into the air, but hasn't figured out the front part yet. She wears 3-6 m clothes and some 6-9's. Her shoe size depends on the shoe, some 1 and some a 2. She is close to moving into size 3 diapers. You can see two bottom teeth trying to come in, thus she is fussy. She is using her baby hand more and more (we see Dr. Popp 2/13/2009, I'll post an update on that as well).

I just cannot believe how fast she is growing...my baby Munkins.

UPDATE:
She weighs 14 lbs 5 oz (15th percentile)
She was 26" long (27th percentile)
Her head circumference was 17" (Normal)

1 & 5: A Reflection on my life

I saw this on another blog I was visiting and it made me think...
1 minute ago... I was copying and pasting this

1 hour ago... I was putting Gracyn's laundry away and zerburting her belly

1 day ago... I was cleaning up the "girls" bathroom of our house, playing with the baby, entering in my WW points, and running to Target

1 month ago... counting down the days until winter break, finishing shopping, and worrying because that's what I do best...

1 year ago... I was thirteen weeks preggo and was having that bleed issue, I was having the hardest school year to record

1 decade ago... I was 17, a Senior in at NHS, dating Mike (the future ex-mr. me), and working at Staples, I was driving a 1989 Dodge Daytona and applying to college and for financial aid

2 decade ago... I was 7 and had Mrs. Lantz. She was not nice and ruined my math skills forever! There were 5 Amanda's in that class. Damn fractions!

5 minutes ago... I was ordering pizza and then texting Dave what I ordered on his

5 hours ago... feeding the baby her Sweet Potatos and cereal, we were practicing using her sippy cup and watching a movie (I am home sick today)

5 days ago... I was teaching on the third day back after break...ug...need I say more

5 months ago... I had a 1 month old, was wearing a couple pant sizes larger than now, was getting ready for the first day of school, still adjusting to driving a mini van

5 years ago... I was 22, planning a wedding to Mike (see above for explanation), living in a condo in Hilliard, working at The Huntington Bank, and had only Miles as a any sort of child. I was driving a 1999 red Mercury Cougar
