Gracie pics from my week off

I have been off for two days with my beautiful baby girl. We have slept in, had lunch with daddy, eaten pizza, watched movies, had McDonald's happy meals, wrestled, danced, and jumped on the bed (I hold her and bounce her up and down; she effin' loves it!) and, of course, shopped!

Below are some pics from the last two days. In the top two, she is rockin' her first night gown (god love Walmart!). The bottom two were taken while we were watching Tinkerbell. She was snacking on Fruity Cheerios.

I love my baby.

Yea.

I think the shirt says it all, "My Mom's tattoo is way cooler than your mom's tattoo"

Happy Daddy's Day!

The reason why you should never trust your friends

This is a website in which your friends send in your incriminating text messages. You can search by area code or read the dailies.

I must say, it takes a lot to make me laugh out loud, but that is some funny stuff.

That makes me happy :)

Five frivolous things that make me happy:
  1. BBW foam Antibacterial soap
  2. No Bake Cookies
  3. Jodi Picoult books
  4. Breast petals
  5. Freshly painted toe nails

6. Funny story: the other day I was playing at the front door and my bink fell out. I looked at Mommy and said, "Crap!"

9. I stole a piece of chicken finger from Molly the other day at lunch

11. I hate toys that are loud and make a lot of noise. I am more in to contemplative things like: blocks, abacuses (sp?), and balls.

P.S. I don't follow rules, so here is #12: My favorite princess is Cinderella.

Pollyies, Pollyies Every Where!

We, as in us girls, went to OUAC to get rid of a few little things that Gracyn can't wear anymore. While waiting, I found a bag of Polly Pockets (24 dolls) that came with a car, 4 pets, a little school house Polly set, and a butt load of clothes and accessories for $9.50!

I am stoked. Gracyn loves the dolls (of course I decloth them etc. so she doesn't choke). She loves to carry them around.

If I had paid out of pocket, I would've paid at least $100+! They have had a bath (to clean them) and are already put away and she is crawling around with two of them!

Also, while I was there, I found 3 huge paper books like "Tug the Bug" that teach her different words. They were $1.50 each and I also got her an Elmer the Elephant book .I got all of that, plus an adoreable pair of jeans for the fall and STILL left with making $6.50!

It's been almost a year...

Here is a review the past 11 months. In eleven months, there has been hair growth, two teeth, crawling, walking while holding on, a lot of words, table foods, pincer grasps, sippy cups, and a whole lotta smiles. She has amazed us, amazed her doctors, and amazed herself.

For the record...

I have the best freaking kid in the world. I mean it. She is an amazing baby and I don't know how I got so lucky.

Who said you can never go home again?

I got a new job. I am going back to Columbus. I am excited. I feel like it is home for me. It is hard leaving my kids though. It was never about my kids. It was always about the adults that I worked with, granted not all, but most.

I'll be at Linden-McKinley HS. They are going to swing space while the new building is built. I'll be at North Adult for 2 years until it is completed. My friend Jason's wife, Ericka, got a job there too teaching Biology.

So, I went from a Fish to a Red Devil to an Indian and now I am a Panther.

I ended with the seniors I had as sophomores. It was very fitting, almost poetic. A good friend of mine, the Director of Curriculum at Canal, said it best, "You need this. While it is a loss for our kids, you need this for you."
