Yesterday was not a good teacher day for me. It was rough and long and stressful. I was anti-kid yesterday. But, this morning Sam redeemed them all.
He bought Gracyn one of those Raspberry teething binks. He had over heard me talking about her needing on and knew what they were because of his little sister so he went to Meijer and bought her one.
Isn't that sweet?

I am a mother, a wife, a teacher, a daughter, a friend, a confidante...you name it. During the day, I am a high school English teacher at an inner-city high school. At night, I am a mommy to Gracyn, wife to Dave, step-mom to Nate, etc. To be able to retain some of being a woman, and not just a mom or a teacher, I am also a lia sophia Advisor.
Gracyn was diagnosed with a congenital birth defect at 28w and then with Symbrachydactyly in August of 2008. She is willful, driven, stubborn and hell bent on not letting her disability impact her life negatively...gee, I wonder where she gets those qualities?

my one and only child. a combination of the two of us. she has so much to overcome and doesn't even know it. she amazes me daily. her spirit and her will make her a match for any opponent she meets. i love her for all that she is and for all that she has yet to become.
